How to Protect Yourself
Online Risks
As the number and complexity of cyberattacks continue to increase, it is more important than ever to stay one step ahead of online fraudsters. That is why Incore Bank continuously invests in cyber and information security. This enables us to protect your assets and data with a wide range of internal and external measures based on global industry standards.
Common Online Risks
Phishing
- Be on your guard against phishing emails and fake calls. Be wary of unusual or urgent requests that you receive by email, phone, or text message.
- Verify the authenticity of a request before sharing information with people you don't know.
- Never click on links or download attachments if you are unsure about them.
- Beware of fraudulent calls. Never disclose information over the phone if you have doubts about the authenticity of the caller.
Websites
- Stay safe online. Only visit trustworthy websites and save them as favorites. A secure website begins with “https://.” Data that you exchange with such a website cannot be intercepted or altered.
- Whenever possible, use multi-factor authentication. Otherwise, use unique, strong passwords and manage them with a password manager.
- Only obtain information about world events from well-known, reputable sources, and only donate through official channels.
Share information
- Be careful what you share and “like” on social media.
- Avoid posting personal information, or including it in your public profiles, such as your date of birth, home address, contact details, vacation times, and other data that could be exploited by criminals.
- Only add people you know to your network and use privacy controls to restrict who can see what.
Clients and the security of their assets and data are Incore Bank's top priority.
Together with you, we can put a stop to cybercriminals.
