This glossary provides a concise overview of key terms in banking and financial services

AMC's
An Actively Managed Certificate (AMC) is a dynamic, securitized investment instrument that tracks the performance of an actively managed strategy 1:1, offering a cost-efficient and flexible alternative to traditional investment funds. Its primary advantages are extreme agility and rapid time-to-market at low operational costs.

ASP
Application Service Providing (ASP) refers to the provision of software over a network by an external IT service provider. For instance, Incore acts as an ASP provider for banks and financial service providers, operating the IT infrastructure and specific banking software (Finnova, MyWebDepot etc.) on its own servers, which it makes available to clients online. As a result, they do not need to maintain their own complex server infrastructure and benefit from maintenance and data security. Today, these ASP services are bundled within Incore Technology.

Bank as a Service (Baas)
A regulated bank – like the Swiss-based Incore Bank – positioning itself as a provider of modern Banking as a Service (BaaS) solutions for other banks, financial intermediaries, asset managers, institutional investors, and corporates.

Banking as a Service
This is a solution where a regulated bank makes its digital infrastructure and modular banking services available to third parties via interfaces (APIs). Financial Intermediaries and other companies can thus integrate financial services into their own offerings without having to obtain a full banking license. They act as fully-fledged financial service providers, with the bank ensuring full compliance in the background.

BPO Services für Banken
Banking Process Outsourcing is the strategic outsourcing of bank-internal processes to an external service provider. Typically, this involves the transfer of back-office functions (data processing, administrative tasks such as payment transactions or securities settlements) and enables the bank to reduce its workload and increase its efficiency.

Brokerage & Custody
Brokerage & Custody combines two core functions and provides clients with a seamless and one-stop solution: the service for executing buy and sell orders of all asset classes on the markets, and the subsequent safekeeping and administration of the purchased securities.

Digital Assets
Digital assets include cryptocurrencies and other digital tokens. It offers a complete solution for trading, custody, and generating returns through staking.

Global Custody
A central comprehensive service for large institutional investors, where a central custodian takes the holding, management, and security of financial assets that are distributed across numerous international markets. Global Custody includes the settlement of transactions, the management of corporate actions, and tax optimization.

Global Execution Services
Describes the fast, efficient, and cost-effective execution of securities orders on a global scale. Clients gain access to a network of exchanges and trading venues worldwide via a single interface to place orders for a wide range of financial instruments.

Incore Direct FX
Fully automated trading platform that connects banks via API or web interface directly to global liquidity sources for foreign exchange and precious metals. The solution enables real-time trade execution without media breaks, as it integrates seamlessly into existing core banking systems and payment processes.

ISP
As an Infrastructure Service Provider (ISP), Incore manages the entire IT infrastructure for banks. They operate the hardware and secure connections, allowing financial institutions to use their applications stably and securely without having to maintain their own data centers.

Core Banking System
As the heart of the IT infrastructure, it manages all of a bank's central data and process in real-time, from customer data, accounts and balances to securities.

Payment Services

Transaktionsbank
A transaction bank is a specialized credit institution that serves as the infrastructural backbone for other financial institutions and institutional clients. It provides technological platforms and comprehensive B2B services and focuses on the efficient, highly automated processing of standardized high-volume transactions. These include, in particular, payment processing, securities processing (clearing and settlement), foreign exchange transactions, as well as the custody and administration of assets (custody).

Treasury Services
Treasury Services are banking services designed to manage, safeguard, and optimize the liquidity, payment flows, and financial risks of corporations or financial institutions. They include solutions for cash management, payment processing, liquidity management, foreign exchange and interest rate hedging, and often also trade and working capital financing.
